Young Learners’ Attitudes towards Learning English as a Foreign Language: A Study at a Primary School

In recent years, English has been taught as a compulsory subject in Vietnamese primary schools. It is necessary for all EFL teachers and educators at schools to understand young learners’ attitudes towards learning. The aim of this study explore the (YLs) learning public school (Henceforth called PPS) Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with participation 133 fifth grade students. Both quantitative qualitative data were collected through employment questionnaire interviews. For analysis, descriptive statistics thematic analysis used. results revealed that most YLs have positive attitude EFL. addition, several pedagogical implications are provided order improve quality teaching PPS particular other similar contexts general.
